A proponent of financial literacy and investor protection, Julie writes and lectures on investment topics.
Her weekly column, which is in its thirteenth year of publication, has been recognized by the IRS for “accurate, timely, informative and helpful tax information,” and by the Society of Professional Journalists (CT Chapter) and the Connecticut Press Club for "Excellence in Journalism." Her work has also been recognized by the New York State Society of CPAs for "Excellence in Financial Journalism." Julie's book, "The AARP Retirement Survival Guide: How to Make Smart Financial Decisions in Good Times and Bad," received a number of awards for excellence in financial literacy. The column appears every Sunday in the Business Sections of the Stamford Advocate, Greenwich Time, Danbury News Times, and the Connecticut Post.
